Diagnosing the issue

• Is my Wii connected through a digital video recorder or satellite system with a built-in DVR?

  If so, this could be what’s causing the problem. These devices intentionally create a delay in displaying the picture, which would explain why the reaction from your controller is delayed.

  We recommend that you plug your Wii directly into your TV or VCR in order to avoid sound and picture delay.

• Is my Wii connected to a projection TV?

  Some models can cause a delay when playing video games. Try your Wii with another television to discover if this is causing the issue.

• I’ve tried the steps above but still experience delays. What now?

  Try a different Wii Remote with your system. If this works, your original Wii Remote will need to be replaced.
