If liquid of any kind has been spilt into your system, unplug it immediately and follow this guide.
Liquids other than water can quickly damage your Wii, so a repair will be necessary.
Unfortunately this type of damage is not covered by your warranty.
Let your system dry for a few days, but do not attempt to speed up the process with a hairdryer – or anything else – as this can damage your console.
If the system does not work properly after a few days, a repair will be necessary. Unfortunately this type of damage is not covered by your warranty.
You can still send us your Wii console to fix, but you will be liable for the full cost of any repairs. Details of these costs can be found on our guideline prices for out-of-warranty repairs page.
You can book your Wii in for inspection by the Nintendo Customer Support Team.
