Diagnosing the issue

Was the photo taken on another Nintendo DS system, or is it from another camera?

Only photos taken on Nintendo DS systems will display on a Nintendo DS system. Photos from digital cameras or mobile phones unfortunately aren’t compatible with your Nintendo DS.

All photos that have been edited on a computer will also be unable to load on your Nintendo DS.

Try taking another photo on your Nintendo DS. If the photo displays as normal, the problem only appears to be with one image.

If the photo doesn’t display properly, it’s likely that there’s a problem with one of your system’s cameras, which will need to be looked at.
