This guide will be useful if your screen goes blank or black lines appear on your LCD screen when you’re playing your Nintendo DS.
You’ll need to work out if there’s a fault with a specific game, your Nintendo DS system, or both. Follow the instructions below to find out what the problem is.
Make sure your system is fully charged, insert the Game Card you’re having problems with and switch on your system. If it doesn’t work, try the game in another Nintendo DS system.
Unfortunately we can’t tell if the problem is with your Nintendo DS or the game, so you’ll need to send us both for further inspection.
The problem appears to be with your Nintendo DS, so it may need to be fixed.
Your Game Card will need to be repaired or replaced.
You can book your Nintendo DS or Game Card in for inspection by the Nintendo Nintendo Customer Support Team.
Please note that we are only able to repair or replace games that have come directly from Nintendo.
